Costs And Procedures For A Class 2 Licence

The prerequisites to attend a full class 2 license course with us are:

•   You need to have held your full NZ car (Class 1) license before you can do a Class 2 license. A medical certificate within 60 days of applying for the class 2 Learners License.  The cost is approx. $50.00 and is to be obtained from a medical doctor (this can also be done through us).

•   Study the Road Code for Class 2 heavy vehicles.  Once familiar with this, apply for and sit the Learner License test at a licensing agent, i.e. the AA or VTNZ.  The cost is $93.90 (to be paid directly to the Licensing Agent). Alternatively learners licence training can be done with us. The cost is $100-00 including GST (this cost does not include a medical certificate or the learners license test). The venue is in Mt Wellington. Training is done weekly and ideally starts on Monday at 9am.

•   Once you have passed the Learner License Test, book with us to do a course which includes two theory unit standards, practical driving and a practical assessment.   The cost is $895.00 including GST.  The venue is in Mt Wellington. Training is done weekly and ideally starts on Monday at 9am.

•   After successful completion of our course an NZTA Certificate is issued for candidates to present at a licensing agent to obtain their full Class 2 Driver license.  The cost is $49.60 (to be paid directly to the Licensing Agent).
