Vidya has been a driving instructor with A1 for over 5 years. Vidya is originally Fijian Indian, with a background as a secondary teacher for 12 years and an ESOL tutor at the University in Fiji. He moved to New Zealand in 1987, and set up his own business, which he successfully ran for 12 years. He then worked as a sales consultant for Barfoot and Thompson in Meadowbank. Vidya has been a Rotarian for over 25 years in Auckland, where he became President and was awarded the Paul Harris Fellow three times for his participation in major funding and charities both in New Zealand and the Pacific. He is a family man, who enjoys spending time with his family.
